MISSION STATEMENT:

Marlton School's mission is to provide an enriching, challenging, and rigorous American Sign Language (ASL) and English curriculum driven by both ASL and Common Core Standards. Marlton is a collaborative environment where stakeholders utilize data and evidence-based decision-making, 21st-century teaching skills of critical and creative thinking, inquiry, discussion, and effective communication, coupled with the appropriate use of technology to meet each student's academic potential.

Marlton School is a bilingual American Sign Language (ASL) and English program serving students from across LAUSD. Marlton students develop 21st Century communication, language, and academic skills designed to make all students college and career ready. We offer deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH) programs for preschool-Grade 12 through their IEPs, and elementary general education classes for hearing students in grades TK- 6 through an application and permit process. Marlton teaches the a complete "a-g" curriculum leading to a high school diploma and instruction focused on career and independent living skills for D/HH students working toward a certificate of completion. All students receive designated time for ASL and English bilingual instruction and visual/performing arts. Marlton leverages technology with 1:1 devices and offers after-school programs through L.A.'s Best.
